2022 PPS numbers have been released for the entirety of the year.
Below is an update to the original graph published on Nov 2nd, 2021 (see here).
The divergence of Irish Vs Rest Of World PPS numbers issued continues in dramatic fashion.
2.8 million PPS numbers have been issued for Rest Of World (since mid 2000)
1.76 million of those are for Irish (since mid 2000)
53,665 rest of world PPS numbers have been issued since the previous Ireland Is Full substack Vs 11,507 for the Irish.
2022 is almost a record breaking year.
However, 2006 still holds the title for most PPS numbers issued in total (311,850) and for rest of world (231,062) with Irish (80,788).
While this years numbers should be no surprise since most of the year was previously known, they will still shock but also validate anyone who understands what is happening on the ground around the country.
2006 is a very important year - Irish House prices peaked and then began to fall in the same year, and by September 2008 the infamous nation wrecking Bank guarantee (not forgetting the current leaders of the three parties that make up the current Irish cabinet, Varadkar, Martin & Ryan, also presided over that cataclysmic event) was announced and officially heralded the absolute collapse of the Irish property ponzi scheme once and for all, the nation was pulled into the abyss and the rest as they say is history.
Yet are things better any better since?
A very interesting question but not within the remit of this update and so I will leave that open to the reader to further mull over in their own mind.
A lot has happened since the original opening post of Nov 2nd, ‘21 of this substack.
The Irish are now out in force across communities protesting the unprecedented policies of open borders (but no borders for those using words equivalent to “open sesame” to gain entry) and the mass importation and encouragement by the Government amounts to no less than an invasion of Irish communities and amazingly being funded by Irish taxpayers.
The costs will mount up in more ways than one, as is already self-evident, borne by those who have tragically lost their life, born by communities in mourning, borne by those who are afraid to walk around their local villages and towns at night as they always did, borne by those who simply find trying to put a roof over their head is virtually impossible due to the insane levels of imported competition for housing, putting upward pressure on housing costs while decreasing supply to some of the lowest levels ever recorded - causing Irish families and individuals to suffer a deeply degraded experience with real and tangible collapse in standards of living - all because the people who claim to publicly represent the people of Ireland, decided (a long time ago and continue to implement today) that Irish borders and policing them was never in their job description or idea they are comfortable with upholding.
An unsettling trend.
Compiling these numbers there was another trend apparent last year, but comment was saved until the complete 2022 data set was available.
The 2022 numbers for Irish PPS is somewhat down on 2021 which continues a downward trend established since 2009 for Irish PPS numbers issued, considering this a 13 year long downward trend, it is alarming to say the least, deeply alarming.
It becomes even worse when compared with the increase of rest of world PPS numbers out-stripping the Irish PPS number by a factor of 3.5 time higher in 2022.
Meaning of all the PPS numbers issued fro 2022, the Irish only account for aprox. 22% of the allocation.
The trend is more easily discerned in the second graph and is also plotted from the same set of official data, and why it was included this time round.
The astounding reality is less and less PPS numbers are being issued to the Irish, further compounding the seemingly non-stop rise of anyone coming from all over the world to enter Ireland and getting a PPS number for whatever reason, with only the exception of 2020, since it was the year of global lockdowns.
2021 note.
It might surprise some to see in 2021 the resumption of almost business as usual as revealed by the serious uptick in PPS issued for rest of world that year, it is assumed this was due to primarily to people entering the country for the first time, there may be some other factors but it a notable and maybe unexpected moment in the data set.
The lines are drawn.
The lines are literally drawn on the graphs and streets of Ireland between the decent ordinary loving people of Ireland and their wayward politicians, whom have led them into unprecedented and unwanted territory over 20 years.
The Irish people are finally beginning the process of “course correction” by taking action where politicians have not only failed to administer the nation correctly but brazenly refuse to even acknowledge any semblance of reality, preferring to issue pejorative statement after the next, more commonly know as name calling.
